Anal Gland Expression

Available on request, if you've noticed your dog itching, licking or rubbing their bottoms along the ground (called "scooting"), it's most likely that your dog has impacted anal glands.

By manually emptying the glands your dog will feel instant comfort and relief as those nasty symptoms subside.

Bathing Optionals - (Prescribed Treatments)

Aloveen Soothing Spa

Soothing relief for dry skin, itching and irritation. Conditions and helps restore natural moisture to your dogs skin and coat.

With our Aloveen Treatment you dogs fur will be massaged from head to tail in this calming oatmeal and aloe vera based treatment, instantly calming any inflamed and/ or irritated itchy skin.

Coal Tar Anti-Itch Spa

Organic Tar Lotion with Neem Oil will be lathered onto your dogs coat from head to tail and massaged through while your dog soaks up the suds for aproximately 10-15 minutes in addition to our standard bathing experience.

Deodorising Spa

We now have a deodorising treatment which naturally naturalises and eliminates dog odors. This is excellent for smelly dogs when the odor just doesn't go away regardless of how many times you wash them.

Flea-Defeat Treatment

If your dog shows any signs of fleas we will be required to bathe your dog in our Flea Shampoo treatment. Bathing time for this treatment varies between 10-15 minutes depending on the severity of fleas present and is in addition to our standard bathing.

Malaseb Medicated Treatment

For relief from dandruff, dermatitis, flea allergy dermatitis, itching, body odors with oily skin. If problems persist, please consult with your veterinarian.

Phyohex Medicated Treatment

For relief from dandruff, dermatitis, itchy, body odors with oily skin. If problems persist, please consult with your veterinarian.

Mild Amino Acid Mud Spa Series

This series of high quality ultra-hypoallergenic products contain amino acid based surfactants derived from amino acids extracted from sugar cane and tapioca, which are said to be the world's mildest shampooing ingredients.

Japanese Charcoal Indulgence Spa

This charcoal treatment is made from bamboo and other kinds of trees and has been used in Japan since ancient times. With the adsorptive power of large surface area, charcoal is able to take up materials and gases such as pigments, odors and poisonous fumes. In addition, it emits minus ions, which has a soothing and calming effect on your dogs emotions.

De-Matting

Matting is considered any tangling, sticking, clumping, the presence of foreign matter in a dog's coat, or excessive undercoat that takes an extended effort and time to remove. Matts are usually present under legs, around the neck. To test for presence of any matting on your dog, run a metal comb through the coat of your dog. Any tangles or clumping you find is considered matting.

Since matting takes longer to remove, dematting charges apply and are added to the price of the base groom. 

Note: contrary to dematting and styling requests by the owner, our first concern is for the comfort and well-being of your dog. We always put humanity before vanity.

De-shed Treatment

Guarantee your dogs comfort, improve the appearance of your dogs coat and your environment without interrupting the natural shedding process. Gently shedding out your dogs undercoat is painless and ensures airflow is not restricted to your dogs skin preventing all sorts of skin conditions. This also reduces the chances of matting and difficult brushing, a must try for all double coated breeds. 

Grooming Rehabilitation

Unfortunately there are some dogs that do not enjoy the grooming experience. For those unfortunates we offer groomers rehabilitation, a step-by-step program where over time through positive experiences and trips to our salon we can re-build a trusting relationship helping them overcome past experiences. Since every situation is different and every dog is an individual, there is no set time limit. Sessions may vary from a come in and visit for a treat to the full grooming experience. The rehabilitation process is completely documented and reports are also available.

Note: home work will apply and regular grooming appointments are essential.

Nail Caps - Canine Soft Claw Caps

Prevent scratching of floorboards, screens, doors, etc or help protect your dog from aggravating skin conditions from excessive scratching by applying soft claw nail caps to your dog's nails.

Easily applied, comfortable soft claw nail caps last 4-6 weeks and will not interfere with your dog's normal behaviour.

Nail Filing

Nail filing is done to remove any sharpness to your dog's nails after the nail trimming process.

Time poor? Need your dog back for that special occasion? Or is your dog sensitive requiring first class priority treatment? Allow us to put your mind at ease and take the pressure out of your day with our priority grooming service. We will ensure your dog will be ready WITHIN 2.5 hours and on completion will contact you by phone.
